Rebecca and Adaptations

So last Monday we saw the Hitchcock film, Rebecca, a film about a mysterious bachelor (played by Laurence Olivier, often called the greatest actor of the 20th century) who sweeps an orphan girl off her feet and whisks her away to his lavish villa where she is faced with filling the shoes of the man's previous bride, the titular Rebecca.

Since this class deals a lot with Adaptations I feel the need to mention two remakes of the movie that stand out. Kohra and Anamika are both Bollywood films (made in India) that are said to be adaptations of the original Daphne du Maurier novel. Both have their own unique takes on the original, with Kohra adding a bit of supernatural flavor and Anamika embracing Indian culture (Anamika roughly translates to the one without a name and is the "Rebecca role" for the movie).

Anyways, here are the trailers for the two movies:

Kohra: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TVq6wCkZ9_o (this one has a song)

And here's a little something I made with some friends a while back, I hope my embarrassment can pass for entertainment.
