Here is a clip from the end of the La Noire de... film. Go to the 10min mark and watch from there til the end. This is where the little boy chases the man with the mask. What significance do you think the mask has?

That is very interesting... it is almost like the boy is mocking the man. The guy get increasingly scared too.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I have to agree. I don't really know what to make of the scene but I also haven't gotten a chance to see the entire film. However, the ending was really creepy. I can see how wearing the mask and following the man can be interpreted as a form of mocking but it's hard to explain what the film is trying to accomplish with the music and mask. I'll have to watch the film to figure it out. Thanks for posting the video!
ReplyDeleteIt definitely sold the creep factor and also showed the uneasiness and maybe guilt of the Frenchman. Maybe it also represents him being haunted by an entire culture for what he and his wife have done.
